Finding AIM Qualifications
Please use our qualifications search tool at the bottom of this page.
To help you browse, we've organised our qualifications into eight categories (see the table below).
In order to find a qualification you should select a subject category then a Suite.
Once you’ve found a qualification title you like, all the detail about that qualification is shown in our qualification handbooks. When you click on this, the handbook will either appear as a new webpage or download depending on the device you’re using. This PDF document can be saved to your computer for future reference but please bear in mind that we do update these from time to time.
Within the handbook you will find lots of information, including the guided learning hours, total qualification time, level, intended outcomes for learners and assessment requirements.
You’ll also find a list of the components within the qualification and the rules about how these are combined. Clicking on a component title will enable download of the specification outlining the standards (learning outcomes) and assessment requirements.
It’s worth noting that the document also becomes the dynamic record of learner achievement that forms part of the learner portfolio – all ready for you to use!
You do not have to tell us which units you are planning to deliver as part of the approval application. Rather you are simply seeking approval for the qualification overall.
Assuming you are an AIM centre, you can click the Offer this Qualification button, then the Proceed button
Page 1 – complete your centre details
Page 2 – complete the important details of who is assessing and internally verifying (follow the instructions on screen). At this stage you’ll need to upload CVs demonstrating that key staff have the necessary qualification and/or experience as described in the qualification handbook.
Once submitted (online) and approved, the nominated centre staff will receive access to the portal where the learners registrations are made.
If you are not already an AIM centre you will need to complete centre approval as described here.
