AIM Awards Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

Suite Overview:

The AIM Awards Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is aimed at learners wishing to qualify for the CSCS Green Card to access construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.

This qualification enables learners to understand the principles of risk assessment, safe manual handling, working at height and using equipment, as well as the general health risks in a construction environment. On completion, learners will demonstrate an understanding of key issues affecting safe working practices on UK construction sites.

Along with the completion of the CITB Health Safety and Environment Test, learners may apply for a CSCS Green Card and progress into careers in the construction industry.

This qualification is part of the AIM Flexibilities family.

The AIM Awards process for qualification approval includes a submission of a selection of components which you intend to use for your programme. This enables us to check the rules of combination for the qualification to ensure correct awarding of your learners achievements.

Once you have approval to offer the qualification it will appear in your list of approved programmes and qualifications on the AIM Awards portal. Each of these programmes are created as ‘Shadow’ programmes. This will allow you to access all components within the qualification. At the point of registration you have to the choice to select any of the components within the qualification.

Components must be selected for each registration you submit.
