AIM supports the growth in the end-point assessment (EPA) of apprenticeship standards, delivery of high-quality EPA, and working in partnership with major employers across sectors. We are currently focusing our work on the creative and cultural industries. We are seeking to recruit talented and motivated assessors for the following standards:
 
  • Assess and document apprentice competence against apprenticeship standards at designated venues using the stated assessment methods
  • Carry out and document end-point assessment activities in line with AI

End-point assessors can’t assess the same leaners they teach or coach. They must ensure their occupational competence and knowledge are up to date to ensure they have the right skills and knowledge to remain credible to employers.

As an associate end-point assessor working with AIM you will

  • Assess and document apprentice competence against apprenticeship standards at designated venues using the stated assessment methods
  • Carry out and document end-point assessment activities in line with AIM and regulatory arrangements
  • Provide concise feedback to apprentices to explain assessment decisions
  • Complete and submit reports within the necessary timescales Provide advice and support on end-point assessment Participate in training and standardisation activities to ensure a consistent approach to end-point assessment
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organisation and AIM end-point assessment policies and procedure

Minimum requirements

  • Experience of assessment, particularly end-point assessment is desirable, however not essential as successful assessors will be required to undertake assessment training.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of end-point assessment
  • Relevant experience as an industry practitioner within the area as outlined in the standard
  • Excellent organisational skills and a professional approach Timekeeping and punctuality
  • Problem solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Self-motivated and possess a flexible approach with apprentices and employers
  • A driving licence is desirable

Our moderators are the public face of our Access to HE diploma qualifications. We are currently looking for customer focused individuals with an eye for detail to join our team.

External moderators should be subject specialists in their field, hold a teaching qualification or equivalent and have experience of internal and / or external quality assurance.

This freelance role represents an exciting opportunity to work with a successful awarding organisation and end-point assessment organisation. AIM has a portfolio of over 500 regulated qualifications across a wide range of sectors from entry level through to level 6. As an end-point assessment organisation, we are working to become the end-point assessment organisation of choice for the creative and cultural industries.
The role involves writing and reviewing questions for our Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Games, Animation and VFX Skills. The qualifications include two externally marked examinations: a core principles exam in year one and a case study exam in year two.

The ideal post holder will be up to date with current and emerging technologies in the GAVFX sector. They will need to write accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained. The ability to work to tight timescales and ensure deadlines are met is an essential aspect of the role.

AIM Qualifications and Assessment Organisation is a registered charity operating as an awarding organisation, Access to HE validating agency and end-point assessment organisation. Summary of the role
We are currently recruiting freelance examiners for our Level 3 Extended Diploma and Diploma in Games, Animation and VFX Skills. We are currently focusing our work on the creative and cultural industries.
We are now seeking to recruit talanted and motivated individuals to join us as Assesment Facilitators who will ensure that all EPA testing undertaken is completed through:
  • You will need to mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • You will be required to submit samples to AIM at designated times
  • You will need to ensure milestones for marking are adhered to You will work accurately and consistently, and at times to tight timescales.
  • You will ensure all administration is completed as specified

​​​​​​​Drawing on your previous experience of invigilating assessments and work within education, you will work closely with the EPAO coordinator to deliver and effectively contribute to continually improve the delivery of the testing element of the apprenticeship end-point assessments and ensure that you are providing the best possible service for our EPA apprentices and customers.

Whilst experience is preferred, full training will be provided for the successful candidates. Whilst the role is ad-hoc, hours will be agreed with the successful candidates in advance and there will be an opportunity to work regularly.

  • Established experience of invigilation, for example multiple choice tests and exams both online and paper based

Customer experience advisor

We are seeking to recruit a customer experience advisor, who will join the existing customer experience advisor team and be responsible for providing customer experience advice and support to external stakeholders and for providing administrative support to the organisation in all areas.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and energetic individual who builds great relationships with people and is passionate about education and training. They will have effective communication skills, good planning and organising skills and have experience of working successfully within a team.

We are looking for an inspiring individual who can demonstrate how they have delivered exceptional customer service in a previous role and is passionate about customer service.

You will require the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable people skills, including the ability to talk to people and have a conversation, whether it be to our customers or our AIM team. 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral. This includes experience of using the telephone for customer service in a previous role.
  • Efficiency, the ability to do things quickly and accurately while being organised and proactive. 
  • The ability to work within a team and work flexibly to the needs of the customer experience team.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of/ experience in using Microsoft IT programs.
  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent is desirable for this role.
     

Your role will include the following:

Customer Service:

  • Be the first point of contact for external stakeholders and answer queries via email and telephone. 
  • Provide administration and support, when required, to the AIM programme of events.
     

Customer Advice:

  • Promote the use of AIM products and services locally, regionally and nationally. 
  • Provide information, advice and support to existing centres and offer practical solutions.
     

Qualifications:

  • Receive and process centre applications and assign to relevant regional EQA. 
  • Perform centre approval administration duties including emails, updates to internal systems and sending final responses.
  • Maintain records, filing systems and computer files. Provide administrative support for the checking, processing and uploading of documentation for the AIM website.
  • Process registration and certification requests and direct claim status applications.

 

End-point Assessment:

  • Schedule assessment activity. Maintain accurate and up to date records, filing systems and computer files.
  • Receive, process and store reasonable adjustments, special considerations and personal mitigating circumstances effectively so that no learners are disadvantaged.
  • Organise personal mitigating circumstances panels and record evidence from panels. Receive and process assessment component results, request certificates from ESFA.
  • Receive, process and organise re-sits and post-examination enquiries liaising, as required, with customer experience lead and examinations officer.

AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group is seeking to appoint Board of Trustees members particularly in the FE and HE Sectors. The posts are voluntary, but expenses are reimbursed.
