We  are seeking to recruit a creative, enthusiastic and energetic individual who builds great relationships with people and is passionate about education and training.
 
As the sole graphic designer for the company you will be highly experienced in traditional design-for-print but also have some experience in producing design for screen, such as web, mobile media and interactive PDFs. 

You will be responsible for creating original and innovative artwork and graphic assets for various promotional collateral eg brochures, leaflets, exhibition stands, e-newsletters, Mailchimp, web, adverts, videos, etc. You will need to welcome the variety and be happy to jump on design requirements when needed.

Whilst you’ll work closely with the Brand and Communications Lead, it will be in your nature to want to manage your own briefs and have the tenacity to complete briefs as required.

You must be highly creative and self-motivated, with a ‘can do’ attitude and capable of working to tight deadline

Skills and experience
You will be required to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Excellent typography and layout skills
  • Expert knowledge in the management and production of design-for-print and other related media
  • Creating artwork concepts and taking them through to a professional artwork standard with consideration for the final output
  • Developing brand awareness and maintaining consistency across all projects
  • Liaising directly with printers to achieve best results in the most cost-effective way
  • Strong layout skills with an eye for detail
  • Learning new skills related to design and marketing related activities
  • Clear communication skills (written, face-to-face and over the phone), 
  • Experience of working on social media 
  • Experience of working within web content management systems would be preferable, but not essential

You will require:

  • A Graphic Design degree or similar professional qualification
  • A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role (main focus on print)
  • Proven expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Good knowledge of print and production processes
  • An understanding of design best practice
  • Experience in artworking
  • Proof reading and editing skills

Finally, any prospective candidates will be asked to present a strong portfolio demonstrating your skillset as a creative graphic designer and your ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud.

End-point assessors can’t assess the same leaners they teach or coach. They must ensure their occupational competence and knowledge are up to date to ensure they have the right skills and knowledge to remain credible to employers.

As an associate end-point assessor working with AIM you will:

  • assess and document apprentice competence against apprenticeship standards at designated venues using the stated assessment methods
  • carry out and document end-point assessment activities in line with AIM and regulatory arrangements
  • provide concise feedback to apprentices to explain assessment decisions
  • complete and submit reports within the necessary timescales

Minimum requirements

This freelance role represents an exciting opportunity to work with a successful awarding organisation and end-point assessment organisation. AIM has a portfolio of over 500 regulated qualifications across a wide range of sectors from entry level through to level 6. As an end-point assessment organisation, we are working to become the end-point assessment organisation of choice for the creative and cultural industries.

The role involves writing and reviewing questions for our Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Games, Animation and VFX Skills. The qualifications include two externally marked examinations: a core principles exam in year one and a case study exam in year two.

The ideal post holder will be up to date with current and emerging technologies in the GAVFX sector. They will need to write accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained. The ability to work to tight timescales and ensure deadlines are met is an essential aspect of the role.

They will ideally have a degree and/or equivalent industrial experience in the creative and cultural industries. They should have teaching/training experience of the relevant subject and level, and they should have experience of exam question writing.

We are now seeking to recruit talented and motivated individuals to join us as Assessment Facilitators who will ensure that all EPA testing undertaken is completed through:

  • ensuring necessary documentation is in place and completed
  • representing AIM to apprentices, employers and/or training providers, ensuring our customer service values are maintained
  • managing own diary effectively to ensure assessments start as scheduled
  • setting up the assessment room/s
  • supervising learners sitting assessments whilst ensuring a calm environment which will give apprentices the best possible opportunity to be successful
  • coordinating the introduction of assessors/apprentices
  • invigilation of assessments in line with AIM's invigilation policy, delivery and quality assurance requirements
  • report all risks, issues and suspected malpractice encountered during invigilation of assessment activities
  • adhere to health and safety processes and procedures, including at employer/training provider sites
  • ensure AIM's policies and procedures are followed at all times

Being an assessment facilitator for an AIM end-point assessment you are most likely to be the first, face-to-face contact the apprentice and training provider staff will had with AIM. The role requires excellent customer service skills including effective communication skills, confident communication, be comfortable working under pressure and have the ability to multi-task.

Drawing on your previous experience of invigilating assessments and work within education, you will work closely with the EPAO coordinator to deliver and effectively contribute to continually improve the delivery of the testing element of the apprenticeship end-point assessments and ensure that you are providing the best possible service for our EPA apprentices and customers.

Whilst experience is preferred, full training will be provided for the successful candidates. Whilst the role is ad-hoc, hours will be agreed with the successful candidates in advance and there will be an opportunity to work regularly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Social Media: Planning, coordinating and implementing a schedule of activity across all our active social platforms including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to expand our social media audience base.

Website: Managing our CMS; optimising SEO; ensuring content is up to date; improving online traffic to the websites; creating and managing link-building strategies; and ensure the site is performing well, easy to navigate, responsive and optimised for the customer journey.

Content: Working with the Brand and Communications Lead, write engaging content for a variety of audiences that is consistent with brand guidelines. Sourcing and taking photographs and videos for use across all marketing collateral.

Email marketing: Working with the Brand and Communications Lead to prepare online newsletters and emails and organise their distribution through various channels including MailChimp.

Advertising: Working with the Brand and Communications Lead to investigate opportunities for digital and print advertising eg PPC, Facecbook.

Reporting: Monitor, report and analyse results to improve performance, using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Google Search Console etc so that amendments and improvements can be made where appropriate.

Other:

Proof reading and editing of content developed across the organisation. To ensure that the Brand Buddy is being adhered to at all times.
