Getting your AIM Awards Certificate

Once you have completed and successfully achieved your AIM Awards course, your centre will submit a claim to AIM Awards for your certificate(s). We work closely with your centre and will post your certificate(s) to them, where they will distribute these to you. 

I haven’t received my AIM Awards certificate

If you have not received your AIM Awards certificate(s), you must contact the centre where you studied. The centre, on your behalf, will contact us if there's a problem.

AIM Awards sends certificates by recorded delivery to the centre. Original certificates are normally sent out within 20 working days from the centre claiming on your behalf.  

What can I use my certificate for? 

Certificates provide proof of achievement and are valuable documents that should be kept safe.  Employers, professional bodies and academic institutions may ask to see these documents as evidence of your achievement.

My certificate has been damaged, can I get a replacement?

The original certificate(s) must be returned to your centre, where they will apply for a replacement certificate on your behalf. Where the original certificate has been lost, stolen or not received, the replacement certificate is marked ‘replacement’ and printed with the reissue date.

If, for whatever reason, you cannot contact your centre or they cannot help you, please download, complete and send a Replacement Certificate Form to AIM Awards. We ask that you attach a copy of your ID (examples are given on the form) along with the £25 fee. 

How long will it take to receive a new certificate?

If your centre has completed the Replacement Certificate Form on your behalf, we endeavour to have your replacement certificate with them within 10 working days. 

If you have applied for a replacement certificate yourself, you should expect to receive your replacement certificate within 10 working days of receipt of the completed Replacement Certificate Form and payment. If you do not receive your certificate within this timescale, please contact our Administration Team who will look into this for you.

My personal details (e.g. name) on my certificate are incorrect or have changed, can they be amended?

Your details on your AIM Awards certificates are taken from your centre's registration forms. Please check with your centre to see if your details are correct. They will request a replacement certificate on your behalf.

How can I tell if a certificate is genuine?

AIM Awards maintains records of all AIM Awards qualification holders, along with the number on the certificate. Please contact our Administration Team with any concerns you may have.
